Keep on reading to support Shelter to Soldier with the library’s Read for a Reason program.

Also, related to the library’s “Read for the Win” Summer Reading Challenge, they will be hosting an exciting “Minute To Win It” Event.

Drawing for prizes are on every Monday for teens and adults!

The TD Summer Reading Club is a nation-wide program sponsored by the TD Bank Group with the assistance of program partner, Library and Archives Canada, and developed by the Toronto Public Library.

Lewis said the library tracks library card holders and has seen that those who live farther away from the library and live in lower-income communities use the library less. For reading throughout the summer, all reading levels will be able to earn prizes, such as books or coupons.

“I want them to read things that they really want to read in the summer”, Taylor said.

This program is presented free of charge due to the generous sponsorship of our local Tim Hortons.

The program is open to young people, preschool through young adult and adults. “Since many families cannot afford summer camp, its nice to have something that they can do”.
