Prior to the August rollout, “No Man’s Sky” is originally expected to release in 2015, though Hello Games said that they are shooting for a mid-2016 rollout.

But there was one big caveat to their meeting… they didn’t actually meet.

During a livestream yesterday, two players met up on the same planet but were unable to get a visual on each other. From that point on, it is open to be played how a user wants.

We’ll continue to provide you more updates on the PC version of “No Man’s Sky” as soon as we get them, but for now, keep your eyes peeled for the Friday release date.

Whatever this game turns out to be, we’re intrigued right now – IGN’s review-in-progress says that “I feel it pulling me back in to do more exploring and unlocking new technologies”. “But a certain set of gaming and media press, and also some gamers, that made them just feel a lot better, they were like oh there is a goal, okay that’s fine then, but actually for us we didn’t set out to make the flawless game, like maybe through updates and stuff we can approach that, but we didn’t set out to do that”. What’s amusing is that the handful of people which predicted a “broken” No Man’s Sky launch came true. Every planet is unique, since through procedural generation they have been created differently. Its primary offer for them is to explore the vast, unknown universe at their own time, and make their own stories along the way. Hello Games’ managing director Sean Murray said that galaxies will now be up to 10 times larger.
