How Thomas Gibson Is Dealing With His Criminal Minds Firing
In spite of being kicked off in “Criminal Minds” Season 12, Thomas Gibson is still grateful for the love and support he receives from his fans. The past few weeks have been very hard both for the fans and everyone involved in the show as the firing of lead star Thomas Gibson, in what appeared to be related to him hitting a writer, sent ripples across the American television industry, with the message that what happens on screen is very different to what really takes place on the set.

“Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from Criminal Minds”, ABC Studios and CBS TV Studios said in a statement.
The altercation reportedly led to an internal review.
Are you shocked by Gibson’s firing?
At the time, Thomas told TMZ, “There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement”. He played Special Agent Aaron Hotchner. Also hitting the news today was the startling revelation that the actor had secretly filed for divorce from wife of 23 years, Christine, in 2014.
Remaining stars of the ensemble series include Joe Mantegna, Matthew Gray Gubler, A.J. Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler and, a newcomer this season, Adam Rodriguez.
Gibson’s character, Aaron Hotchner, will appear in two episodes of Criminal Minds’ forthcoming season which premieres on September 28. The actor opened contact with his fans by expressing his regret that he could not thank each one of them personally for their “friendship and support” over the years, going on to say that he is “disappointed” with the events that unfolded between him and CBS honchos. “I had hoped to see it through to the end, but that won’t be possible now”. He previously starred in the hospital drama series “Chicago Hope” and the sitcom “Dharma & Greg”.
