Samsung expects the Galaxy S7 series to play a decisive role in revitalizing sales as the company’s mobile business division has remained well below its heyday figures.
Improving on last year’s models, the smartphones offer IP68 certification, making them resistant to water and dust, souped up internals (although the UK-bound Exynos version is reportedly slower than its Snapdragon counterpart), microSD slots and beefier batteries. Customers interested in purchasing a Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge from these channels should find their nearest location for more pricing and availability information.
However, according to the predictions of a few market analysts, the sales of the Galaxy S7 will be weaker than that of the Galaxy S6, reports Reuters. This is thanks to Dual Pixel technology, which sees the camera take two pictures at once and then fuse them into one final super-sharp image. Other than these, the other improvements are no different from what Galaxy S6 users will be getting in case of an upgrade to Samsung Galaxy S7. The smartphones also have a new “AlwaysOn” function to display certain information constantly onscreen (time, calendar, meetings, etc.) while keeping power use extremely low.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge phone model raises a new bar for speed, camera and screen performance. The company priced the Samsung Galaxy S7 at Rs. 48,900, and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge at Rs. 56,900 – both prices for the 32GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy S7 also brings back another feature from the Samsung Galaxy S5 which was not a part of the Samsung Galaxy S6. In addition to this, the Gear VR headset and a year’s subscription of Netflix will also be bundled for free with each order. While Galaxy S7 is fueled by a 3600mAh battery, S7 is fueled by a 3000mAh battery.
