There have been 35 confirmed explosions, Samsung reported, and the company launched an investigation which found they were caused by a battery cell made by one of two external battery suppliers.
Samsung had announced a global recall of Galaxy Note 7 handsets last week, due to the potential explosive batteries of the handsets. As part of the recall, Samsung said it’s received 92 reports of batteries overheating in the us, including 26 reports of burns and 55 incidents involving property damage, among them fires in cars and a garage.
If you’re not comfortable using a phone that poses a potential fire hazard – and both Samsung and the US Consumer Product Safety Commission have advised Note 7 owners to power down their phones – Samsung says the number may also be on the back of the phone.
The situation has become a pressing and financially sensitive situation for Samsung. But after this Note 7 incident, we can expect anything. And although the affair turned out to be quite heavy of Samsung’s finances, it will still worth it, the company believes. Thailand promoted the product “Samsung Galaxy Note 7” from 2-4 September 2016. “We take seriously our responsibility to address your concerns about safety”.
Samsung says replacement stock of new Galaxy Note 7 will be available no later than September 21. The update will supposedly prevent overheating and battery combustion. Those who choose to return the device will receive a refund. The program for Korean customers will start on Monday. “But I’m not going to go get it the first week”, he added, because he wants to make sure there aren’t more problems with the Note 7 replacements. You can also just leave Samsung and contact your point of purchase to obtain a refund. During the 2-minute video, Baxter apologized for the battery issue and confirmed that the company has replaced 130,000 Galaxy Note 7 units.

Pre-orders of the Galaxy Note 7 will also be delayed as Samsung works with its partners to supply a safe replacement smartphone as soon as possible. Carriage of such devices on flights to the U.S. will also be prohibited.
