Apple users who were quick to download its latest iOS 10 software on Tuesday were subject to a major bug that left devices temporarily useless.

Ladies and gentlemen, iOS 10 is finally here! Of course, that doesn’t mean that everyone is happy with all the changes Apple made this year. And the new OS will let you see a transcript from a voicemail message – saving you the hassle of launching the phone and going to the message yourself. The screen, however, must be on – either by pressing the power button or, more likely, iOS 10’s new raise-to-wake feature that turns on the screen when you pick up your iPhone. As a result, Apple’s old Touch ID unlock had to change – leaving the old behavior would mean the lock screen would nearly always be completely bypassed.
With iOS 10, you press down on the home button to unlock your iPhone instead of the tried-and-true slide-to-unlock gesture. This cool new keyboard function allows you to tap on words that correspond with emoji, such as “apple”, “beach”, “basketball”, etc. and replace them with the actual emoji image.
Apple started rolling out iOS 10 at 10:00 a.m. Simply 3D Touch the notification and you can type and send your response right there without ever leaving the app you’re in.
Downloading the iOS 10 to your Apple device is easy. In other words, anyone can respond to your messages without having to unlock your phone.

Previously, the free iExplorer for Mac and Windows gave you access to each app’s Documents and Library folders, enabling you to back-up things like game progress and sideload it back later.
