The San Diego Chargers narrowly avoided the dreaded preseason overtime, and maybe found some competition for Nick Novak in the process, as Josh Lambo put on a kicking clinic in their win over the Arizona Cardinals. This game will be the 22 meeting between the two squads in the preseason and this marks the 11th time in the last 16 years.

San Diego had not major injuries coming out of last week’s game, but the starters will try to improve on last week’s win against the Cowboys.
That’s especially true when it comes to the running back position.
San Diego quarterback Philip Rivers sat out the game. Andre Ellington had a great game against the Chiefs and the team wants him to continue that success this weekend.

Running back Chris Johnson signed for the team earlier in the week, and he hopefully can bring some much needed competition in the roster.
