How to watch Thursday’s National Football League game on Twitter
What we still don’t know – and probably won’t know for some time – is whether these streams will generate any new users for Twitter.

The game between the Jets and Bills was the first to be streamed on the platform, which secured the rights for the 10-game package in April for about million.
“Anyone with these devices, regardless of whether they have a Twitter account or pay TV subscription, can enjoy this experience, ” Twitter said in a statement.
“Unfortunately, Canadian football fans won’t be able to stream the game on Twitter due to local broadcast considerations via Rogers”, Cameron Gordon, communications director for Twitter Canada, said Thursday morning in an email, without elaboration. This latest service of broadcasting live news programs will be a result of the company’s integration with Cheddar, a popular live, web-focused and on-demand video news streaming network. The Apple TV version is ready worldwide while the Xbox One version will be released in several key markets like the US, UK, Mexico, Brazil, and Australia soon.
“Twitter’s recent deal with BAMTech to provide users with quality live streaming of Thursday Night Football really paid off and has been met with largely rave reviews by users”.
For those using Apple TV, Twitter has made it possible in its TV app to watch live side side-by-side with tweeted video clips.
If you already had Twitter on your phone, you didn’t have to download a new app. Finally, the app is also now available for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick in the United States and the United Kingdom.
The CBS live feed marked the first time an National Football League game had been broadcast on a social media platform and the event quickly began to trend on Twitter in the United States. This includes top Tweets, top Vines and Periscopes.
The apps won’t be available everywhere.
One interesting note: Google was even directing people to Twitter’s live stream.

Twitter is using both humans and algorithms to curate the tweets seen alongside the live feed. Twitter isn’t for everyone, but maybe by incorporating this new feature it will make it even more universal. It only paid $10 million for the streaming rights, so it appears Twitter will generate a good profit on the investment.
