The Sixers might not be as likely to win the right to the first pick in next month’s draft tonight, but they’re still in position to end up with a chance to select one – or more – impact players. If they do get a ball drawn and the Lakers don’t, they get the Lakers’ pick too, which could potentially be No. 4.

The Denver Nuggets haven’t exactly had bad luck in the NBA Draft Lottery (unlike their Pepsi Center roommates), but they’ve never had good luck, either. “We’re just trying to get ourselves past this lottery and the draft and see where we stand”.
CELTICS: When Boston sent Pierce and Garnett to Brooklyn as part of a draft-night trade in 2013, the Celtics not only acquired the Nets’ first-round picks in 2014, 2016 and 2018, but also the right to swap first-round selections in 2017.
Frank Vogel, the Magic’s coach, will represent the team on stage when lottery results are announced.
As Nate Taylor pointed out in one of his recent insiders, Collins and Leaf are two of the more intriguing prospects in got to talk to at the combine.
Another potential story is vindication for “The Process” in Philadelphia.
The Boston Celtics are trying to go from No. 1 seed to No. 1 pick.
The Celtics are going to have a high draft pick in this upcoming draft and have many options they can go from. But this is a draft loaded with talent, so Philly should come out well either way. They could not only win again if they move up from their current fourth spot, but land another top-five pick if the Lakers fall backward.
Amid all the conspiracy theories surrounding the NBA’s lottery over the years, there hasn’t been much room for shadiness and extracurricular speculation when it comes to the 12th lottery spot. But there is a small, small chance Miami could end up with a top-three pick.

The Suns have the second best odds at the No. 1 pick (19.9 percent) and the Lakers have the third best odds at the No. 1 pick (15.6). They could also wind up picking seventh (and that’s it). For a top three pick, it’s 18.2 percent. The remainder of the 14 teams are slotted in the inverse order of their won-loss record. The Celtics acquired the pick from Brooklyn, which had the worst record in the National Basketball Association last season, as a result of a 2013 trade that sent Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett to the Nets.
