James Bond may forever retain the honor of helming the longest-lived franchise in film history, but for sheer relevance, importance and box-office heft, nothing beats “Star Wars”, neither today nor for the foreseeable future. The theater will screen the entire “Star Wars” saga ahead of the debut of “The Force Awakens”. As for the money this movie will make, the sky may be the proverbial limit.

This is not to say that the new film won’t be terrific, because it probably will be. But the triple crown of records for the box office are opening day, opening weekend, and overall domestic gross. “It’s nearly like there’s no ceiling on it”.
