“We have to keep working, I believe we can play better and from what I have seen today in the second half, we can do well”. What will happen, we will see, but we need to try and fight in every game.

Kane scored his first goal after less than a minute and struck again in the 16th to become the Premier League’s leading scorer with 21 goals.

“One week ago in Germany we had a bad day but we were good from the beginning today and I’m very happy with the collective performance”. It was a really good game for him.

Two quick goals either side of half-time were enough to settle that encounter, both of which came about through superb combination play between Dele Alli and Harry Kane. Since December, the Cherries have collected 28 points, behind only Leicester City and Tottenham, who have picked up 34 and 33 points, respectively. “The gap that Leicester have over us and Arsenal and Manchester City, we need to reduce”. They move the ball well but we knew that was the case.

Defeat snapped Bournemouth’s run of three straight wins leaving the team 13th in the standings, 12 points above the relegation zone.

Tottenham ran out 5-1 winners in the reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium back in October thanks to a hat-trick from Harry Kane and goals from Erik Lamela and Mousa Dembele. “The Aston Villa game was probably one of the best I’ve felt all season”.

“Leicester are doing well, they keep winning games but so do we”.

Now that the worldwide break is coming up, Tottenham’s season won’t resume until April 2nd when they travel to Anfield and take on Liverpool.
