The HTC Aero has been rumored to be marketed as the HTC A9 when it launches later this year.

The report further states that the HTC A9 will feature an all-metal build and will be offered in Dark Gray and Tyrant Gold color options. The curved edges and antenna lines are identical, though HTC’s rear camera sits in the upper middle instead of the corner. An Android Central report says the phone will have a deca-core MediaTek X20 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 3,500mAh battery.
You might recall that HTC was supposed to release a “Hero” phone in October according to CEO Cher Wang. Could it be that the Taiwanese device maker is looking to unveil two models?
‘The cuts will be across the board, ‘ Chief Financial Officer Chialin Chang told reporters after HTC reported a second-quarter loss and forecast another for the third-quarter.
The images, posted to Weibo, also reveal the handset from the front. In fact, it was Apple who stepped closer to HTC’s design with the iPhone 6.
HTC may have miscalculated with the M9, leading to the company’s current downward spiral.

Analysts, however, are less optimistic, saying HTC is likely to continue to struggle for the next four quarters at least. We’re still expecting a new smartphone from the firm later this year.
