HTC Aero expected to arrive with Android Marshmallow

According to previous speculations, the HTC One A9 will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 10-core processor built using a superior 20 nm process and would consume 30% less power in comparison to other chipsets.

Previously, this device which is similar to iPhone 6 made its hands on appearance in China, showing the back panel of the HTC Aero.

There has also been some confusion about a possible release timeframe for the HTC One A9.

The new rumor came from a tweet of LLabTooReR, a frequent and prolific Twitter leaker. Aero will be among the first smartphones to launch with Android M integrated to its OS.

As for its camera, Pocket-Lint reported that the HTC Aero will have an f/1.9 aperture and can store photographs as raw files. Design renders also indicate the absence of the “double chin”, which Pocket-Lint describes as “an additional bar at the bottom of the display that now carries the HTC logo but serves no other goal (in the past it was the site of capacitive buttons)”. Aero is said to be one of the slimmest HTC devices produced, says @LlabTooFer.

While there’s no word on pricing options, the high-end version of the One A9 that’s been leaking until now is said to cost no more than $600 outright. Rumors that Aero will have a 3500 mAh battery lead some to speculate that it could be a phablet with 6-inch display.

While it is certainly no flagship device, could we see the One A9 keep HTC afloat for a bit until the next One “M” device is launched in 2016?

Asked by a commenter whether the HTC One A9 will launch next year, LlabTooFeR revealed that the smartphone will arrive in October or November. However if its recently leaked specs is anything to go by, it actually comes across as a mid-ranger than a hero phone.
