HTC delays release of the Grip fitness wearable into 2016
As previously stated in an article, the HTC Grip was supposed to be the result of a collaboration between the manufacturer and Under Armour.

HTC has reportedly delayed its plans to launch the Grip wearable fitness tracker. The Grip will launch in the U.S. first, with other countries to follow, but there have been no announcements regarding European availability yet.
Having been canceled once already, and now delayed at least until next year, only time can tell if the Grip would be worth the wait. “Our teams have done a remarkable job bringing these products to life and we’re excited to share them with the public soon”.
The HTC Grip is a $199 wristband, a dedicated fitness tracker. In a report by Wareable, the company announced that the original release date of the Grip in the middle of this year was delayed, with HTC stating that “after extensive wear testing and user feedback, it has been made a decision to align Grip with the entire product portfolio for health and fitness launching later this year”. Also, a feature that should be a big advantage is that it works with both Android (4.3 Jelly Bean and above) and iOS (7 and above).
This wearable will employ the apps as well as accessories of Under Armour to be able to track the pulse and heartbeat of its users.
The second holdback seems to apply to the company’s whole “Connected Fitness” platform.
In a statement, HTC, along with its partner Under Armour, chose to delay its “fully integrated digital ecosystem of products” until early next year. “This global launch will provide tools needed to help athletes of all levels track, manage and improve their health and fitness”.

In a bid to increase the variety of products the company is offering at the present, HTC has also created the Vive VR headset, in partnership with Valve, a game developer and publisher.
