There hasn’t been much news on the HTC Desire 530 since it was first announced, but it appears the colorful handset is headed stateside. A Verizon spokeswoman confirmed plans to offer the phone, but declined to provide PCMag with a launch date or price. As far as carrier availability goes – the HTC Desire 530 will be sold by T-Mobile and Verizon. That means that it’s got a 5-inch 1280×720 display, 8-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot for adding more storage, a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor, and 1.5GB of RAM. HTC touts its Voice Selfie and Auto Selfie features, which make it easy to take hands-free self portraits, and the BSI sensor in the backside camera, which should improve low-light performance.

The smartphone also comes with BoomSound and a high-quality amp for volume and bass without distortion. HTC.com will also offer an unlocked version of a Sprinkle White color for $179 later this month.
