This time, @evleaks has shared some new renders of the HTC One A9 that show the upcoming handset much more clearly.

One look at the images, and you do notice a resemblance to the iPhone 6s. The images showed the following colours: Acid Gold, Opal Silver, Carbon Gray, Rose Gold, Deep Garnet and Cast Iron. As for the hardware of the HTC One A9, it appears that the device will not have the very best, as it will instead have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset.

What’s surprising is that these phones look like iPhone clones with their rounded edges and two wireless antennas both located at the top and bottom. Also, the smartphone’s home button is said to double-up as a fingerprint sensor as well.

Conflicting rumours on the specs of the new phone include a deca-core processor with 4GB RAM in contrast to what we have heard of its only 2GB of RAM.

Following the disappointing performance of its latest flagship, the HTC One M9, the Taiwanese handset maker is under pressure to deliver a new smartphone that can take off. HTC had promised to release a “hero” product in October and has been reported to be developing a high-end smartphone, internally codenamed the HTC Aero.

Blass also mentioned that the device will be released sometime in November.

HTC may officially announce One A9 during their September 29 event or it could be launched on October according to previous rumors, according to GSMArena.

“Everything’s an iPhone!” commented Josh Wedekind, a Twitter user, on the tipster’s post.
