HTC One A9 Price And Availability Details: Flagship Officially Sells For $499
The design is said to have been adopted for the iPhone 6, and 6 Plus, with the latest duo falling along the same lines as well. But if the company decides to up the price to USD499 a unit, consumers may be compelled to consider Nexus 6P instead as a more viable, cost-per-value alternative, thanks to its higher-end specs and faster updates.

Following the release of HTC’s One A9, the company has hit out against claims that the phone is a design rip-off of Apple’s iPhone.
The HTC One A9 isn’t the most high-end phone around, but at $399.99, it’s a solid unlocked option. SlashGear said the phone, which has a 5-inch, 1080p resolution screen display, comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage, and a 13-megapixel camera. But, as it turns out, that is in fact, a “very limited-time promotional offer”, as the price will be bumped up by $100 shortly after it starts shipping. As HTC notes, local sales regions, not to mention retailers and carriers, are free to add on top of that. The One A9 does still have a few special features going for it, like Uh-Oh Protection and its smallish size, so HTC could focus on those features to push the A9.
“After the promotional pre-sale offer ends, the new price in the U.S. at htc.com will be $499.99 beginning 12:01am on 11/7”. Do you think HTC copied the iPhone?
Then it emerged that while it’s available to pre-order in the United States right now for $399, it’s actually priced at just under £430 in the UK, which would be around $660 as a straight conversion.

We can quote an HTC spokesperson about this pricing story. Is the One A9 might actually be deserving of a $500 price tag?
