As would be expected from a phone of its time, the only functional aspects of the HD2 on Android 6.0 are the display screen, audio, and Wi-Fi.
Meanwhile, here is the list of HTC devices slated to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow: One M9+, One E9+, One E9, One ME, One E8, One E8 EYE, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820, and the Desire 816.
In the last couple of the years, modders brought it to present by porting various operating systems, newer than Windows Mobile 6.5 Professional. For 2009, the HD2 packed quite a wallop.
HTC is extending its Black Friday and Cyber Monday trade-in offer for the One A9 until January 7, 2016.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow received high scores in user reviews. For instructions on how to install the port, head to the Via 2 link below. Between all that, even Firefox OS was made to work on the then four-year-old smartphone. Now, we have the latest Marshmallow OS running on the device, thanks to XDA Senior Member macs18max.
That now puts HTC in the lead above its Android OEM rivals, as far as getting OTA rollouts of Android M out to the most kinds of devices so far. Smartphones Phone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus have a trade-in value of $499 as HTC puts it so anyone can do a swap without paying anything. Also, the unlocked version became the first phone to have an unlockable bootloader without voiding the warranty and it includes the Uh-Oh protection plan to replace the hardware in case of accidents.
