The company argues that the secondary 2.05-inch (160×1040) display found on the U Ultra is more purposeful than takes by other companies.
The HTC U Ultra features two screens, and a stylish design with a glass front and back. The leaked images that have been revealed recently come up with the fact that the HTC U Ultra is going to sport a 5.7-inch Quad HD display. It will also include 4GB RAM, 10nm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4,000 mAh battery, and a 64GB internal storage. The 12-megapixel, 1.55 um pixels camera comes with phase-detection autofocus, laser focusing, optical image stabilization of f/1.8 and a scratch-resistant sapphire lens cover. On the front, the phablet features an impressive 16MP UltraPixel selfie snapper with Auto HDR and 1080p video recording capability. HTC U Ultra and U Play boasts of “liquid surface” curved glass. The rear camera of the HTC U Ultra has got a rating of 89 points in the DxOMark testing which is at par with the 12.3-megapixel camera of the Google Pixel. However, the company’s own HTC Sense UI will be wrapped on top of the Vanilla Android UI. It’ll be available in white, blue, pink, and black when it launches. Both smartphone also comes with Artificial Intelligence HTC Sense Companion.
The device comes equipped with a 2500 mAh battery and with a USB Type-C charging port. HTC has also opted out of the headphone jack for both U Play and U Ultra. The 5.2 inch display on the device comes with Gorilla Glass protection and runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 Chipset. The HTC Sense Companion will learn along side you that means that over the time it will learn about your like and dislikes and suggest you things.
HTC U Ultra supports GPS + AGPS, GLONASS and Beidou.
Unfortunately the U Play doesn’t match the U Ultra in the software department either, shipping with Android Marshmallow 6.0. There is a microSD card slot as well, allowing users to expand the storage further by up to 2TB. Expect the phones to start shipping out in March (for worldwide customers).
The HTC U Ultra is a larger 5.7 inch device with a high-res display and also features a second display like the LG V20.
HTC is focusing a lot on “U” with the launch of these two new devices that aim to deliver a highly personalized experience.
The phone features voice recognition, so it can actually recognise your voice and respond to commands.
