Huawei Ascend P7 finally receives Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

The Android M rollout will happen gradually, so for a few users it might test their patience, however, LG G4 will be the first out of the bunch to really experiment and embrace this brand new upgrade. In fact, HTC America president Jason McKenzie announced a mass Android 6.0 rollout before this year ends, according to the Gospel Herald. With the update sized at 353MB, you should be on a Wi-Fi network when ready to download and install it, and your battery needs to be charged to at least 40%. Android Marshmallow release date for LG phones is not known exactly, but G4 phones are expected to receive the much-awaited update on December 2015, said Realty Today.

G2 and G3 phones are now running on Android 5.1 Lollipop but G Stylo has already received update Lollipop 5.1.1 and is running on upgraded version.

As GSMArena reports, Huawei Ascend P7 owners will now be able to upgrade their smartphones directly to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

There are HTC devices, however, that may get the Marshmallow update earlier than the other devices. The last pre-Marshmallow version of the operating system took a while to hit the device after being in beta for three months. Until more carrier LG G3 units start getting the update, we’re waiting for Verizon customers to post their opinions about the new software version and see whether the bugs that the device had were fixed.

As for the Google Play Edition One M7, there is still no confirmation on whether it would still receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow or not.

Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will also bring other latest features such as a Bluetooth button on the screen of the dial-pad and will also be available with priority mode for events and SMS and with a notification scan. The new software will also include support for USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner.
