One of the talking points on the Honor 7i is its rotatable camera module, which is in line with the earlier leak.

The device comes with a 5.2-inch display sporting a resolution of 1,920 by 1,080 pixels resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal storage.

Huawei has unveiled the Honor 7i as an upgrade to the Honor 7. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor under a unique side design to add a security layer. On the left side of the phone there is also a fingerprint scanner.

As far as the camera specs are concerned, Huawei 7i sports a 13MP, Sony-made, backside-illuminated sensor, with F2.0 aperture size and 28mm wide-angle shooting capabilities.

On the software front, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Emotion UI 3.1. The smartphone measures 71.2 x 141.6 x 7.8mm and has a 3090 mAh internal battery.

In terms of memory, it can have either 16GB or 32GB, but has a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

The smartphone has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a microUSB port with USB OTG support and comes with 4G LTE connectivity. Instead of including two separate cameras in their newest smartphone, Huawei decided to go with a camera that swivels, similar in idea to the Oppo N1. All Chinese carriers are offering the 3GB RAM version at CNY 1899.

Huawei isn’t the first to come up with the concept.

Pricing for the Honor 7i is set at 1599 Yuan ($250 USD) for the 2GB/16GB model and 1899 Yuan ($297 USD) for the 3GB/32GB model.

What do you think of the Honor 7i?

As I said before, the Honor 7i’s flipping camera is not something that we see every day, and the ability to have a 13-megapixel camera with flash for your front-facing shooter is something that’s probably pretty exciting for selfie fanatics.
