After the release of Huawei P9, the tech giant has finally launched the new Honor 6X, a smartphone which was announced previous year. It’s a lot of phone for such a low price. Huawei has decided against jumping onto the USB Type-C bandwagon with the Honor 6X, and as such the phones comes with a micro-USB port. “Today, Honor 6X gives them that”.
Honor also introduced a new smartphone accessory: a tripod selfie stick. The design liked by many is back with refinements.
Like choice when it comes to colors?
Nothing about the front of the device has changed.
Honor 6X will sport the same display feature found on Honor 5X (5.5-inch 1920×1080). On the front, there is an 8 MP camera sensor for taking selfies.
Now that we are done with the intro, let’s get straight to the juicier bits.
The Huawei smartwatch can be used with both Android and iOS devices. It is powered by Octa-core Kirin 655 16nm processor along with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. The 6X will have the same aluminum unibody construction, although it will feel more sturdy than the Honor 5X, providing a more premium feel. Lead by popular devices in the OnePlus 3 or Honor 8. The first sensor is a 12MP one, coupled with phase-detection capabilities, while the secondary 2MP cam serves only for acquiring depth info.
EMUI is highly customisable, and you have lots of themes available to customise the look of your phone. If you´re not one of these, then the Honor 6x will be a dream come true. While EMUI 4.1 is present, it’s not the newly-released EMUI 5.0. There will also be some new features coming in, but nothing different from what you already know with respect to Android Nougat.
You’ll also find Android 6.0 Marshmallow onboard, and built-in fingerprint sensor, a microUSB connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
That said, this is a decent handset at a ridiculously low price and we hope to bring you a full review of the 6X soon.
When launched in India past year, its predecessor Honor 5X was priced at Rs 12,999.

The Honor 6X costs $249.99 for the base version with 3 GB of RAM, hitting USA shelves starting January 15, but those who want to preorder the device may do so starting January 4. But, the phone was just debuted to the world from the hallowed grounds of CES in Las Vegas as the Honor 6X. On January 10, 17, 24, and 31, Honor will be selling the Honor 6X for $199 in brief, 2-hour windows.
