Huawei launches Mate S with Force Touch
Chinese telecommunications equipment company has already unveiled its new super-sized smartphone, Mate S, at Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) trade show. The scanner can also be used to control the notification bar, double-click to erase unread notifications, slide to preview pictures, and hold and take phone calls, all of which will improve one-handed operation of the phone, the company said.

The device also appears to have beaten Apple to including the Force Touch technology, which senses how hard users are pressing down on a screen, in a consumer-facing mobile device, which is not set to feature in an iPhone until later this year. The name might not be familiar to you know, but you can bet Apple is taking notice as the Huawei Mate S comes with Force Touch.
The Huawei Mate S will be launched in numerous markets around the globe later this month.
The Huawei G8 offers various connectivity options including i-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1, dual SIM LTE, and also features a fingerprint sensor. What’s more surprising about this display is the fact that Huawei has beat Apple to the punch by introducing Force Touch Technology.
The device will be equipped with a faster and more sensitive Fingerprint Sense 2.0 providing much more than advanced chip level security and single-tap unlock technology.
There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with sapphire protection around the sensor. Huawei stated that the company has no plans of bringing the newly unveiled smartphone in the United States.
And even with that price, there is a big caveat, as Huawei’s press release makes it clear those prices and availability info are for a Mate S variant without the Force Touch sensor.
Meanwhile, under the hood, the luxury smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core Hisilicon Kirin 935 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard storage, and a slightly disappointing 2700mAh battery pack.
The Mate S phone will retail for 649 Euros (Rs 48,000) – comparable to the iPhone 6 – with a premium version for 748 Euros (Rs 55,000). Huawei has also implemented a professional camera mode.

The Huawei Mate S will be initially available in 30 countries and should become available for preorder in September.
