The two new Nexus phones will be the first ones to be running the new operating system of Google, Android 6.0 Marshmallow. A rumor last week suggested that LG’s 5.2-inch follow-up to the 2013 Nexus 5 would be called the Nexus 5X, and that Huawei’s 5.7-inch flagship would go by Nexus 6P.

New ChromecastSeeing as how Apple and Amazon are now focusing efforts on streaming media devices, it should come as no surprise that Google will follow suit with a new version of its popular Chromecast streaming dongle. This time Google has granted permission to LG and Huawei to manufacture the Nexus device.

Google’s next Nexus phones developed by LG Electronics and Huawei are expected to be released in late September .

The Nexus 6 previous year came with 32GB and 64GB of storage, but according to sources, the Nexus 6P will have a 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB of storage available to purchase, of course without any expandable option. The availability of this much storage for users will be the first in the Nexus lineup of mobile devices, which will make it a match for its competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Apple iPhone 6s.

We already know that there are plans for eking out battery life and improving app permissions so Google can’t farm your data as easily as in the past.

A fingerprint scanner and USB Type-C are reported to be appearing on both. We are looking forward to the new Nexus smartphones, are you feeling the same way? Looking at past Nexus releases, a late October/early November release would fit the yearly cycle perfectly.

The Huawei Nexus 6P is slated to be debut on Google’s event on September 29 along with the smaller Nexus, manufactured by LG.

That’ll certainly help draw some attraction to the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow Nexus devices.

If the new Nexus phones sport larger screens, they’ll be in step with where IDC sees the market going.
