Huawei Unveils Mid-Range Nova Series with Premium Features

Two new smartphones have been introduced by the company under the new brand, which is the smaller Nova smartphone that comes with a 5-inch display, and a bigger Nova Plus, which comes with a 5.5-inch screen like all the other Plus branded smartphones in the industry. The nova smartphone series features a stunning multi-curve design, camera advances for more vivid photography and performance updates for enhanced usability. But, Huawei surprised everyone at their press event at IFA by not announcing the smartphone.

The Chinese manufacturer has now unveiled their new Nova series of devices ahead of IFA, that packs an array of premium features despite it being shot at the mid-range segment. The Huawei Nova looks more like the Huawei P9, while the larger Nova Plus looks something like the Huawei G9 Plus.

The Huawei nova smartphone’s curved surfaces and 5-inch screen connect seamlessly to create an ergonomic, compact design that fits perfectly in users’ hands, enabling single-handed functionality.

Some of the key specifications of the Nova and Nova Plus handsets include 1080p LCD displays; Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC; 3GB of RAM; fingerprint scanner; and 32GB of onboard storage capacity. The subtle contours and smooth curves reflect light to emit multiple shades of brilliant colors and sheens.

It’s to come with Beauty Makeup 2.0 and Beauty Skin 3.0 photo effects apps as standard, augmenting the use of a 12-megapixel rear camera on the Nova and a 16-megapixel equivalent on the Nova Plus. As far as the camera is concerned, the smartphone will sport a 12MP rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture. In addition, the Huawei nova series supports fast autofocus for incredible accuracy, helping consumers capture wonderful moments in their life.
