Huggies Responds to Claims of Glass Shards in Its Wipes
A California mother’s video showing apparent glass shards on her daughter’s baby wipes prompted a response from Huggies. She’s one of the hundreds who got a word about a nationwide post online about Huggies Baby Wipes.

Huggies released a statement on its Facebook page at about 9 p.m. PT Thursday, and responded to individual complaints. You would think something as horrifying as this would cause concern, but to some, they think the allegations are full of poo. “We take any concerns about our products very seriously and we are working directly with this parent to learn more about what happened and how we can help”.
Many concerned parents posted their complaints to Huggies’ company Facebook page.
Samantha Ortiz and her fiance Eric Alvarez began investigating the baby wipes after they found scratches on their child’s forehead.
The company says it believes the glass shards reported are likely melted fibers of the wipe material used in the manufacturing process of the product. Please don’t hesitate to contact us here or by phone at 1-888-485-6839. She said Huggies had always been her brand of choice, until now.
She says her son has had a rash ever since she started using these wipes last month.
“All these are going to the trash – regardless of if I see shiny or not they’re going away”, she said.

“I put the wipe in the sunlight and sure enough there’s like glittery stuff all over the wipes”, said Bustos. Other consumers said on social media that they had no problems with the product and suggested the claims were unfounded.
