Hull win promotion to Premier League
Wednesday’s bright start gave way to a spell of Hull pressure that saw Bruce’s side force the impressive Westwood into a stunning save and Diame strike the upright. The lads were magnificent and limited them to few chances.

Having been denied time and again by inspired Owls goalkeeper Keiren Westwood, it took a 20-yard curler from Diame to settle matters 18 minutes from time in an entertaining Yorkshire derby.
But Hull boss Bruce isn’t anxious about trying to improve the club’s bank balance because he knows his players are exclusively focused on achieving a promotion that will allow them to face the country’s best on the biggest stage. The semi-final was a great day, I scored in that one.
“But Mo produced a bit of magic for us”.
Speaking to thestar.co.uk, Bannan, who joined Wednesday from Crystal Palace last summer, added: “Hull will go rightly in as favourites because they finished above us in the league but we know what we’ve got in the changing room and what we’re capable of. It was a wonder goal which would grace any cup final”.
Bruce is the first manager to win four promotions into the top flight since the Premier League was formed in 1992. “They have been helping us all season, home and away, and especially the last couple of games we played, Cardiff at home and Brighton home and away”, Loovens said. We try to attract the (best players) but we are never going to be the biggest payers, and it’s hard to try and get people to come to us, even if we have the money. “The people are enjoying our philosophy, so I think that’s enough for me”. But it’s not about me, it’s about the club.
“We must grow up in a lot of things”. We will have the aim of trying to stay in that league.
“Bournemouth and Watford stayed up this season and Swansea have done it for seven or eight years”. If somebody had said leicester would be champions we’d have said they were nuts, so it proves anything can happen. The Spaniard described his side as “healthy and strong” going into their first Wembley appearance in 23 years, and is confident ahead of this afternoon’s clash.
The added incentive for both teams of a payment of about £120m for the victor along with promotion to the Premier League will be sure to create a quality end-to-end game.

“Make no mistake, even the experienced players and managers get themselves in a state, it’s only human”, Bruce said of the nerves both teams will feel at Wembley.
