From there, they marched throughout the streets of downtown Tampa until they stopped at the intersection they blocked.

Just this past week, Alton Sterling and Philando Castile, were shot to death by police officers prompting protests nationwide.

“We have a divider as a president”, he said. “There are certain people where unfortunately that comes into play”, he said, adding that more training could address some problems.

The shootings led to thousands of people holding demonstrations in cities across the United States over the past few days.

Georgia State freshman, Collin Thomas, said, “I’m exhausted of seeing things like this. We just hear voices that are not necessarily the voices of the majority of the people”.

And in a Monday release the Atlanta Police Department (APD), officers warned the protesters they are free to continue their movement, as long as they don’t violate Atlanta’s park hours and regulations.

In his view, the problem is black gangs, murderous black children, the refusal of black protesters to look in the mirror at their “racist” selves, and black parents’ failure to teach their children to respect the police. We also need to discuss the obvious issues with what constitutes proper law enforcement. “But I have to tell you, they’ve changed the national discussion for the better”. Two suspects were taken into custody and a third was killed by police. “Pandora Radio openly supports an organization that chooses to kill American law enforcement officers”.

The marchers then linked arms to form a circle that blocked traffic on the intersection of Ashley and Tyler. Some critics say the group incites violence against police officers, and chooses their outrage selectively, staying silent about black on black crime. “But it’s got to start with our self-esteem as a police force and understand 99 percent of what they do is what we want and that we’re proud of them”.

However, the post which is attributed to Stallen and has a picture of a man in police uniform that was posted before the Dallas shooting, was critical of the focus of the movement.

Why don’t I like “Black Lives Matter?”. Instead, we need to combat hate with love and do our best to be the very best we can be for ourselves and for our neighbors. And you can have those different ideas in the same thought, and there’s nothing wrong with that, because we do all matter. The group’s founders didn’t mean to imply that other people’s lives don’t matter.

The crowd sang Kendrick Lamar’s anthem “Alright” as the night of marching and demonstrating came to an end.
