It was a sad moment when hundreds of fishes died after the officials released them from the lake accidentally.

According to the report, the fishes were released accidentally by the workers during checks on valves used in flood defenses.
Woman, Lisa Attenborrow¸ saw the tiny creatures struggling for life and reported to the council.
She said “They were suffocating in the mud”.
She added “I felt close to tears seeing hundreds of dying desperate creatures”.
Officials acted immediately and saved more than 500 fishes but till then almost hundreds were dead.
