Hungarian Camerwoman Fired After Kicking Refugees as They Fled Police
Hungarian prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation for breach of peace against a camerawoman caught on film as she tripped and kicked migrants who were fleeing border police.

The camerawoman is also shown tripping up a refugee carrying a young child as the man sought to escape from Hungarian police.
A video published on Twitter shows how journalists are filming the scene as police officers are chasing refugees and trying to contain them.
The man and boy tumbled to the ground, with the man falling on top of the child. He’s then seen getting up, yelling.
Much of N1TV’s content centres on the activities of the far-right Jobbik party, which wants all migrants deported.
The incident has attracted global attention. A German journalist filmed Petra Laszlo of N1TV as she tripped a man carrying a young child, causing him to fall on the boy, the Guardian reports.
N1Tv released a statement on their Facebook page on Tuesday saying one of their colleagues behaved unacceptably and their relationship was terminated. “People in Europe are full of fear, because we see that European leaders, among them the prime ministers, are not capable of controlling the situation”, Orban said at a Brussels meeting earlier this month.
Hungary lies along a popular migrant route between Turkey and Germany, the planned destination for many refugees fleeing the war in Syria.
The United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR) said Tuesday that under Article 51 of the UN Refugee Convention, no one can be prosecuted for illegal entry if they are seeking asylum.
Hungary has struggled to cope with tens of thousands of refugees and migrants travelling through the country’s borders in recent weeks.
