Hunt wants to ‘knock Lesnar’s face off’ at UFC 200

But Lesnar, who turns 39 three days after UFC 200, could not accept that 12 inches of surgically removed colon would be his final parting blow in UFC. Could this be leading to a working relationship between UFC and WWE?

Following UFC 200, the WWE still has over a month to create a storyline to establish the epic clash.

Brock Lesnar is fighting this Saturday night at UFC200 where he will face Mark Hunt in the octagon.

UFC has been steadily pumping out hype videos ever since they announced Lesnar was coming back, of course. In professional wrestling, it’s common for wrestlers to compete for multiple companies at once, as a single company can’t typically provide a liveable solo income. The question has certainly been asked, but Lesnar hasn’t really answered it; and considering he’s a guy who kind of just does whatever he feels whenever he feels like it, anything is possible.

“I didn’t realize it was Brock Lesnar until someone actually mentioned it, and I was like, oh wow”.

The potential for Bill Goldberg to return to the WWE’s squared circle at SummerSlam has taken a serious hit. Just past year near the end of his contract, he walked out of a TV taping for WWE’s flagship show, RAW. Lesnar’s return has came completely from left-field and the former champion will be looking to showcase the skills that brought him victories over Randy Couture, Frank Mir and Shane Carwin. “This deal couldn’t have worked out any better”. The women rewarded him for his decision: Ronda Rousey soon became the sport’s biggest crossover star, and Miesha Tate has become a major star in her own right.

Not surprising anyone, Lesnar maintained a safe distance from Hunt for the first couple minutes of the fight, and Hunt tried not to get into takedown range. “I think he’s going to be a bit smarter and test the waters first, but we’ll see what happens on the night”.

Finally, we need to also consider the potential positives of such a partnership. The official announcement will be made on Thursday’s episode of SmackDown, but as this has already aired in Canada, spoilers have now emerged.

Only a return as spectacular as Lesnar’s could overshadow the evening’s nominal main event, the light heavyweight title fight between champion Daniel Cormier (17-1) of San Jose, Calif., and former longtime champ Jon Jones (22-1) of Albuquerque, N.M.
