Hyde5: Is Dwyane Wade seriously considering Cleveland?
The Heat pursued free agent Kevin Durant but he agreed to a deal with Golden State on Monday, clearing the way for Miami to turn its full attention to its longtime star. The Heat have reportedly increased that offer to around $20 million per year, Wade’s original asking price, but the Miami Herald’s Ethan Skolnick reports there’s increasing tension between Wade’s camp and the Heat organization.

Despite the rampant speculation about Wade possibly relocating to Cleveland-the Cavs are now following D-Wade and his wife on Twitter!-GM LeBron James does not have the resources to pull it off.
Wade is scheduled to meet with the Milwaukee Bucks tomorrow and there are rumors that he will meet with the Cleveland Cavaliers as well.
Given this, they can only offer the taxpayer mid-level exception worth $3.48 million.
But there is still a strong possibility that Wade will finish where he started by signing with Miami. I like the sound of Westbrook, wade, bosh and Whiteside in one team, i think they can become a championship team or at least make it to the finals in there first year together.
In a report by Michael Wallace for ESPN, the Heat offered Wade a sum of $40 million for another two years. Despite offering more money than their rival in this matter, Marc Stein of ESPN is reporting that Wade is expected to stay in Miami. Might as well go all in – and Dwyane Wade, Cavalier combo guard, represents that.
There are obvious reasons for the Cavs to pass; at this point, Wade is a far worse defensive player than J.R. Smith.
Bennet’s report also noted that Jasom Carr, son of Cavaliers’s color commentator Austin Carr, had confirmed through a Facebook post that Wade’s contract with Cleveland is already a “done deal”.
The Heat originally planned on re-signing Dwyane Wade after Durant made his move.
Perhaps Wade is willing to take a significant pay cut to play for Cleveland one season.
This is the second year that contract negotiations with Wade and the Heat organization have encountered a rough patch.

With Wade possibly looking elsewhere, the Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Chicago Bulls, New York Knicks and Mavericks all reportedly showed interest over the last week.
