Hyundai Motor to Hike Prices up to Rs. 30,000

“Going by customer response, we can increase our monthly production capacity to around 7,000 for Creta”, said Hyundai Motor India managing director and chief executive Bo Shin Seo.

The sub-4 metre SUV will be eligible for the excise duty benefits that should help Hyundai price it competitively. The brand will be used for all the global markets. The Creta will be available in petrol and diesel variants. Both engines may be borrowed from the Verna’s base variants.

So there may be few more timely launches in the American auto industry this year than this month’s showroom debut of the third-generation 2016 Hyundai Tucson.

“We are confident that Creta will strengthen Hyundai’s position in India”.

“Our stagnation has been about our inability to capitalize on the truck (and SUV) side”, Hyundai Motor America CEO Dave Zuchowski said at a media event Thursday.

Hyundai has confirmed that it has begun development of an MPV.

Rakesh Srivastava, the company’s senior vice president for sales and marketing, said, “The price increase has been necessitated by increase of input costs”.

With its greatly refined interior layout, materials and overall treatment, the new Tucson also demonstrates what Hyundai has learned from extending its brand into luxury vehicles such as the Genesis and Equus sedans, and why it and Kia led J.D. The features of the auto would resemble Elite I20 and the vehicle would be available with a variety of features as well.

The company has re-oriented its plans based on the initial interest from the consumers.
