Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has ended his Olympic career in style, after claiming an unprecedented 9 gold medals in Rio De Janiero.

Bolt made it a clean sweep of 100m, 200m and sprint relay golds from three successive Games to bring his gold medal haul to nine.

Along for Bolt’s final trip down the track were Nickel Ashmeade, training partner Yohan Blake and the Jamaican elder statesman, former world-record holder Asafa Powell.
The time, 37.27, may not have been quite as impressive as in the past; the first two relay wins were both world records. As a result, Canada was elevated to the bronze-medal position.

“No one will be able to tell him … that he’s not he greatest”, de Grasse said.
