It’s an open question as to how much endorsements from conservative personalities like Palin and Beck can help a candidate, but they do help Cruz and Trump create more buzz in the critical final weeks leading up to the Iowa caucuses. He warned that a Trump victory in the February 1 caucuses could have lasting consequences: “If Donald Trump wins, it’s going to be a snowball to hell”. “We need a new George Washington”, Beck said. In response, Trump has called for fewer gun restrictions and a harder stance on terrorism. Alex Conant, speaking for Marco Rubio’s campaign, was quick to note, however, that Grassley will introduce Rubio at an Iowa rally in a week.
