‘I Don’t Buy’ Trump’s Position on Immigration: Tim Kaine to Stephen Colbert
Kaine talked Donald Trump, immigration and dad memes with Colbert.

As a growing number of conservatives point to rumors that Hillary Clinton’s health is poor, Stephen Colbert was inspired to create a new segment called “Stephen Colbert’s Tinfoil Hat” to examine that and other potential conspiracy theories on Wednesday’s “Late Show”.
“When Hillary Clinton got out of law school, she was working to help advance racial justice in the juvenile justice system in SC and fighting segregation in Alabama”, Kaine told Colbert when asked to defend Trump’s accusation of bigotry. “And I about that time got out of law school, was battling housing discrimination in the south in Virginia”.
Dorky, corny guys are apparently all the rage for Democratic vice presidents. Colbert asked as he held up a drawing of a dalmatian.
“And Donald Trump has continued to push that irresponsible falsehood, all the way up til now, and that’s the difference in this election”, Kaine said.
“I’m a big fan”, Kaine says to the host in the greenroom.
“And you still respect his opinion”, asked Colbert.
Kaine shared, “You shouldn’t play around on this stuff”.
As the interview came to a close, Colber wasn’t quite done.
Kaine was speaking to students outdoors on a hot day on the campus of Florida A&M University, a historically black college located in the state’s capitol during their first week back at school.
A smiling Kaine was silent when Colbert said Spada was available as a standin should the senator needed break from the grueling campaign trail. “But if you start dividing people up against one another, blame-game name-calling, then all of a sudden you find that you can’t solve all your problems because you’re not letting the talent pool be all it can be”.
But hey, one thing you definitely learn about Kaine from his late-night appearance is that he’s actually really good at harmonica. What followed was a pre-taped video where Colbert introduced Spada as the vice presidential nominee to passersby on a NY street.

“We’ve seen in states all over the country significant efforts by governors and Legislatures to narrow down the right to vote, to narrow down early voting, to increase ID requirements – to basically make it tougher for people to vote”, Kaine said.
