I don’t need to have kids to be happy: Renee Zellweger

Fielding was joined at the premiere by star Renee Zellweger, who has played Bridget in all three films, as well as Colin Firth and newcomer Patrick Dempsey, who play her rival love interests.

Bridget Jones’ Baby picks up some years after Bridget’s last adventure and sees her now separated from husband Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth.

The adorable fivesome made sure to color-coordinate for the event, making a style statement in all-black. The 47-year-old actress arrived in a ultra chic Schiaparelli Fall 2016 one-shoulder midnight blue silk satin gabardine cap sleeve dress with side pockets and a crossover skirt which was adorned with an embellished zebra brooch.

Meanwhile, the ladies Jillian and Talula stunned in dramatic black floor-length gowns.

Nipping in at her small waist, the gown flared out to just below the knee, allowing her glimpse at her tanned and toned pins – which were elongated by a pair of suede red heels.

“The reason I went to that event was that she wanted me to go, so she could be on the red carpet with me and prove to herself she wasn’t being defeated by this awful disease”.

After her recent return to Hollywood, Zellweger said that she took a break from the industry to “explore new things” – and has a new view on her career.

“And that’s what I was thinking about that day”.

Some critics have also described the absence of Hugh Grant in Renee Zellweger’s Bridget Jones Baby as a low point, arguing that Grant refusing not to reprise his caddish role as Daniel Cleaver meant that the film did not hit the heights of the original. “I was thinking about my friend”. Youth and superficial beauty have their place and that is, understandably, celebrated to a degree.

Patrick Dempsey’s gorgeous family stole the show at the “Bridget Jones’s Baby” movie premiere in London on Monday.

“See, I am always putting my foot on it”.

“Especially since I love this character and didn’t want to disappoint anybody”.

Bridget Jones’s Diary was a blockbuster success in 2001 and was followed up in 2004 with Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason.
