Politics is heating up ahead of the Karnataka Assembly Elections 2018 with the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) campaigning aggressively in the state. That is why he resorts to personal attacks against me.

While addressing Kisan Morcha Karyakartas of Karnataka through Narendra Modi (NaMo) App, he further said that a change in the government is needed to bring changes in the farmer’s condition. The support bases of the two parties are in different regions, with the JD (S) confined to Mysuru and southern Karnataka where the Vokkaligas have a strong presence.

“Besides, people who went to jail over the mining scam have been given tickets to contest elections this time”, he noted, without actually naming Ballari in- charge Minister, Santosh Lad and MLAs Anand Singh and B. Nagendra, who quit the BJP to join the Congress.

“Here I want to ask what happened to this fund and how much was spent”.

As per the data tweeted out by Rahul, the Congress-led UPA government allocated Rs 6570 crore to Karnataka as opposed to the Modi government at the Centre which has allotted the state the sum of Rs 598 crore, a difference of 1500 per cent.

Gandhi said Modi should do as he says on issues such as depositing Rs15 lakh into the accounts of every Indian citizen.
