‘I feel good’: Clinton says illness helped her connect with Americans

Democratic nominee for president Hillary Clinton will make a campaign appearance in Greensboro on Thursday, according to her website. Her message was about making America stronger together.

Clinton used her own experience to explain that some disadvantages are the result of “bad luck”.

And while Clinton admitted she doesn’t have the charisma of Trump, she argued she was much better prepared to be president. “I tried to power through it, but even I had to admit that maybe a few days of rest would do me good”, she said with a knowing smile.

She also criticized her opponent, Republican Donald Trump, who said he would shoot Iranian ships “out of the water” if they harassed American ships. Her campaign picked the Triad and North Carolina for her first campaign event after her illness, reflecting its critical status as a battleground state in the race against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

However, it does not seem to have an impact on her supporters.

“It really does not concern me because everybody has health concerns, health issues. She is just a human being like everyone else”, said Nodia Mena, a supporter. “I am running for everyone working hard to support their families”, she added later.

“Overall, I am just hoping that she can put it behind her and move forward”, said Randy Swink.

“I’m running for the LGBT teenager here in North Carolina who sees your governor sign a bill legalizing discrimination and suddenly feels like a second-class citizen”, Clinton said. Look at what is happening with the NCAA and the ACC.

For the record: Video I took today of #HillaryClinton walking down the #stairs by herself.

“I know so many people living on the razor’s edge – one day away from losing their job, one paycheck away from losing their home”, she said.

“The American people are suffering an injustice and that injustice is that she’s not being held accountable, you know she’s getting away with things that no other candidate could get away with”, said Trump supporter Alexis Gray.

“Secretary of State, Senator, she lived in the White House”.

“We have rolled out detailed policy in 38 areas”, she said.

Clinton spent Thursday night in Washington speaking to a group of young Hispanic students. Trump will visit High Point University Tuesday with a rally at the Millis Athletic Convocation Center.
