“I Guess We’ll All Come Out Wearing Dresses Tomorrow” — Blue Jays Manager

He pitched superbly in Toronto’s 5-3 opening-day win over the Rays, going eight-plus innings while allowing three runs and only six hits.

John Gibbons is the manager of the Blue Jays. “We feel good about any of them. It’s a flat-out embarrassment”, Jays manager John Gibbons said after the loss.

Blue Jays: Saunders, limited to nine games last season due to left knee injuries, started for the third consecutive game in left field on the artificial turf at Tropicana Field. They like the fact that the turf has been replaced by dirt between the bases, but most believe in the long run, it won’t make much of a difference one way or the other.

“He was locked in from the first at-bat”, said Longoria. “I mean, really. That was flat out embarrassing”.

“That’s what you’d expect, but until you’re out there and you see games live, you’re not exactly sure how it’ll play”, Shapiro said. “We don’t think it’s too serious and hopefully I’ll be back before our next game”. I understand there’s an uproar, I don’t get that; it’s not the way I think. Gibbons faces one not only with the rules, but with the way he implicitly refers to half the population of Earth as inferior. (Is this better?) I don’t know. “There’s going to be more balls rolling through that didn’t roll through previous year, so that’ll be an adjustment”. Let us know in the comments section below. “Underneath grass is dirt and the earth. So we can’t wait to get out there and hear that crowd screaming”. “Pretty much they put a dirt infield in here for viewing purposes so it looks more like a baseball field”. Alex Colome (1-0) went two innings to get the win. He also posted a sparkling. He swung me around a little bit. “I’d say we probably had the lowest batting average for ground balls hit in the league”. I was trying to inject a little humour into kind of a tense situation. I felt it was absolutely a clean slide. “It’s not something that necessarily I have to go to at all”.

Can Rays even things up with Jays?

Tampa Bay Rays’ Logan Forsythe, right, celebrates his home run off Toronto Blue Jays relief pitcher Brett Cecil with Kevin Kiermaier during the eighth inning of a baseball game Tuesday, April 5, 2016, in St. Petersburg, Fla. RHP Marco Estrada (back) remained on schedule to start Sunday against Boston LHP David Price.

The only player left on the roster that has yet to make his season debut is left-hander Xavier Cedeno.

“I wish he was opposing me (Friday) night”, said Stroman. “The sheer number of people who think it’s totally okay to use women as a quick and easy metaphor for baseball weakness is astounding”, she wrote. Obviously, once he steps between those lines, it’s a different beast.

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said Wednesday morning that he was trying to'inject a little humor into the frustrating situation and didn't mean to offend anyone
