I knew about Guardiola appointment, says City boss Pellegrini

Guardiola has been speaking to the German media on Friday ahead of his move to City, reported Sky Sports, even while he has the rest of the season to complete with Bayern first.

He did, however, admit that he would have one eye on City at times, and confirmed that he’d be “multi-tasking” over the next few months: “I have already told you why I am going to England”. Difficult, because when you’re playing against a team like City, players with fantastic quality, it’s not easy but we concentrated very much.

As well as the inevitable questions about his move to City, Guardiola was also asked about his relationship with his players amid reports of dressing-room tensions at Bayern. After that you have to play 13 or 14 more games.so you have 13 games, 39 points, you have a lot of points so you can not think that because you win you are the champion and if you lose that game you have a lot of things, you have a lot of points more to fight from now to the end of the season.

“In football, not only finances make the difference – of course you must buy players to win the title but I always said the big teams but every year there’s a surprise”.

“We know they can pay wages that no other club in Europe has the power to do”.

But Ranieri, aware he was the one-time favourite in the “sack race”, said: “I don’t believe the bookmakers”.

“It will be a young team”.

“I only know that his Chelsea, with all the difficulty that comes with it, won the Premier League last season with four weeks to spare”.

“Also, if we continue in the FA Cup, we will have to postpone two Premier League games, and there is no option to play those games in midweek”.

Pellegrini has routinely played strong teams in domestic cup competitions – and indeed takes his team to Wembley for the League Cup final a week later – and says he would regret having to play an under-strength team. Let’s see, Mourinho played at Chelsea with Cesc (Fabregas), Willian, Oscar, (Eden) Hazard and Diego Costa.

“Here in England all the teams have a lot of money to spend and a lot of them have very good players”. If you compare him to (Rayo Vallecano coach) Paco Jemez then yes, but not in essence.
