I may sack myself, says Van Gaal
Former Manchester United goalkeeper Mark Bosnich believes that the Old Trafford outfit should sack manager Louis van Gaal as soon as possible in order to save their faltering Premier League campaign.

Van Gaal’s saltiness with the media was on exhibit earlier this week, as well, when he walked out of a news conference on Wednesday after complaining of false reports published in England that said he had already been sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho, the recently fired Chelsea manager.
Asked if he would be in charge for the game, Van Gaal said: “You will have to wait and see”.
He put that down to his players’ fear of failure and conceded that United must somehow find the courage to overcome that if they are to arrest their slide.
On whether he is the man to motivate the players: “That is now the big issue, I have tried to do everything but the pressure shall be higher and higher with every match”. That is the problem now.
Leicester topped the table at Christmas, a year after being rooted to the bottom, but they were not at their best against eighth-placed Liverpool who had gone four matches without a win.
With just one day between matches, Van Gaal admits there will be little opportunity for his players to regain their fitness for the match against the Premier League champions. I think he would sort them out short term, but he is never going to be a long-term option, is he? “Sometimes I do it by myself”, he said.
Crystal Palace is two points behind Tottenham in fifth place after a 0-0 draw at Bournemouth that extended the London club’s unbeaten run to four games.
“The scrutiny is alright for me, I am used to that”, the United manager said.
For the first time under the Dutchman, captain Wayne Rooney dropped to the bench for a league match in which he was available. “In football, it generally comes down to the manager and it’s much easier to get rid of the manager than 11 players”, he said.
“You can say we can quickly get over this defeat by playing against Chelsea but in the time in between, you have to recover because the players have given everything”, he told MUTV.
It was a hapless first-half performance and Van Gaal questioned why his players “don’t dare to play football”.
There has been lots of speculation floating around suggesting van Gaal wouldn’t be in charge for Chelsea yet it looks like that won’t be the case.
Meanwhile, Michael Carrick insists United must “stick together” despite admitting that their recent form has left the team with “a awful feeling”.

“When you lose in a top team then it is always more hard to cope with your environment and you can not say that it is in Manchester much more different”.
