Bloomberg Politics reporter Jennifer Epstein asked Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton during a press conference Monday whether she believed the previous weekend’s terrorist attacks in NY and Jersey were a plot- possibly carried out by the Russians- to get her Republican opponent Donald Trump more votes.
For his part, Trump has begun taking baby steps toward becoming a slightly more traditional candidate, reading off teleprompters, rolling out policy proposals and making overtures to minorities – creating even more uncertainty among Democrats about how he’ll act on the debate stage.

A recent CBS battleground poll that tracked registered voters across 13 swing states – North Carolina, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, New Hampshire, Nevada, Virginia and Wisconsin – found a tie between Clinton and Trump.

“Legislative elections are run district by district and not statewide, however, seven weeks from election day, voters view the Legislature as favorably today as they have at any time in the last decade”, Greenberg said.
