I sent Sakho home for being late three times, says Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has insisted that he is unfazed by his team’s big-spending rivals, adding that paying 100 million pounds (around $132 million) for one player is the wrong approach.

“I don’t know exactly how much we have spent so far. So I want them to do the things because they want to do it, that’s all”.
“We have some rules and we have to respect them – if somebody gives me the feeling they are not respecting it I have to react”.
“If one player pushes 11 from last season on to the next level, imagine what that will mean?”
However, Klopp said the France international’s punishment would not be extended beyond his exile from the pre-season trip and there was no question of him being sold.
Going the other way, he’s brought in some experienced players and some cheap deals, but hasn’t been afraid to spend money, with £30million on Sadio Mane and £25million on Georginio Wijnaldum showing as such.
“If we have players who can only be happy when they start every game it will be hard (but) if there are problems we will find solutions”.
“They only think United or City have taken this player and we have taken what’s-his-name, but for us it is about creating and building a team for next year”.
“It’s not boring but you know everything about each other so how can you develop?”
“[There are some new drills] because we didn’t have time to work with the boys last season”.
“I do think the ref, for them and for us, was giving cards all over the place, that’s why”.
“I had that player. I am pretty sure I can not make all the ones everyone likes, but I have to be convinced about it”, he continued.
Former Liverpool skipper Barnes believes the Reds need to keep pace with the title challengers next term in order to have a successful season under their charismatic German manager.
A player who definitely does have a future with Liverpool is their 19-year-old winger Harry Wilson, Wales’ youngest player after making his debut aged 16, who has signed a new contract.

And, speaking after his team’s 1-0 reverse, Klopp revealed he is yet to learn the full extent of the damage in a situation he described as “not cool”.
