Smeeth walked out of the London event to present the findings of the investigation after a Corbyn supporter accused her of colluding with the media.

“You would have to go back 25 years to the fight against the poll tax to recall a political meeting of this size and enthusiasm in Ellesmere Port”.
Ms Smeeth told the Sun she held Mr Corbyn “personally responsible” for the threats she had received.
“This is why Jeremy launched “Respect and Unity”, a code of conduct calling on all Labour members and supporters to conduct themselves with a high standard of behavior”.
“The NEC has always been clear that the party should act against this sort of abuse and that it has no place in the Labour Party”.
Backers of a campaign group to remove Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader are too scared to make their support publicly known, the group’s spokesman has claimed.
“This will not happen if leading Labour figures continue to irresponsibly undermine the disciplinary process that has, often belatedly, led to the suspension of bigots”. Some analysts have suggested Labour could lose 30 seats in the process.
