IBD/TIPP Poll: Trump and Hillary Tied, Half Support Mandatory Deportations

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s lead over her Republican rival Donald Trump in the race for the White House has been cut in half in the last one month, according to a latest poll. The main super PAC backing Clinton, Priorities USA Action, has spent $44.0 million so far, compared with only $12.8 million from the highest-spending super PAC supporting Trump, Rebuilding America PAC.

Those averages put her advantage over Mr Trump at between three and six percentage points.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll is conducted online in English in all 50 states. The previous Fox News Poll showed Clinton with a 10-point lead. Trump edged Clinton among independents, 25 percent to 20 percent. Some of the more recent individual polls, however, have the race even tighter.

As Ohio’s elections chief, Husted is barred from formally endorsing a candidate for president.

As of Aug 26, the separate Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation polling project estimated that Mrs Clinton was on track to win the Electoral College, by about 332 votes to 206. Those numbers were scheduled to be updated later Friday. On Saturday, Trump is to speak to a black church in Detroit, the Great Faith Ministries International. I don’t know. But quite apart from anything Trump is doing, Hispanics view Hillary Clinton less favorably than they did earlier this year. “And there is some evidence the approach is working”. But with Trump lagging in most polls and Election Day two months off, many in the GOP view the strategy as low-risk because of the deep antipathy many Republicans hold toward Clinton. It’s likely there will be many polls released next week to mark that campaign kickoff, and since voters typically begin tuning in more closely to the campaign once the summer ends, those figures will be more meaningful for all candidates. The poll carried a margin of error of 2 percentage points. When asked, “Would you Support Clinton or Trump”, it’s time to ask “What are my other options?” It was recently announced that the Federal Bureau of Investigation found more emails from Clinton’s private server from when she was Secretary of State. If her favorability rating remains at 55 percent, this seems like a tall order. Georgia, for example, is a statistical tie, but we think Trump will prevail. Libertarian party candidate Gary Johnson received 9 percent while Green Party candidate Jill Stein got 4 percent.
