IBM launches Mac in enterprise services

Companies wanting to run Macs in their organisation can order machines including 12in MacBook with Retina display, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iMac, and Mac Pro directly from IBM. The settings will be delivered via cloud service, and will also be available in the users’ data centres.
The declaration of the new administrations goes ahead the heels of late reports that IBM will be acquiring upwards of 200,000 Macs every year for utilization inside, and actually, the new offering is in view of experience IBM increased through its Mac@IBM program.

The new services help IBM establish itself as a one-stop shop for enterprises looking for support across multiple technology platforms.

IBM says that it has already been providing these Mac deployment services on a custom basis for a number of clients, but has now decided to include it as a standard services offering. Users also can access a range of self-help resources, including password reset, chat, and expert knowledge forums, as well as traditional help desk services.
