Ibrahimovic heads victor for Man United in Community Shield
“No one remembered they were there because of me but I remember I win this trophy because someone won before me and allowed me to be here”.

There are many reasons Man United fans could be happy about the Community Shield.
After his new side went 1-0 up through a fantastic individual run and goal from Lingard, United were pegged back by Jamie Vardy.
The Community Shield is nothing more than a friendly match between the winners of last season’s Premier League (Leicester) and FA Cup (United), but both teams treated it seriously and Ibrahimovic proudly hailed it as the 31st title of his trophy-filled career.
Jamie Vardy had earlier equalized after capitalizing on a ugly lapse from Marouane Fellaini following Jesse Lingard’s superb solo opener in the 31st minute.
Mourinho blamed Fellaini’s mistake on the slowness of the Wembley field.
In injury time, Mourinho took off Juan Mata, who had only been on the field 30 minutes as a substitute.
“It’s an important victory but we have lots of work to do”, Mourinho said. We begin with a trophy. The England striker latched on to a poor back pass from Fellaini. “The only one I can compare it to is Milan”.
The Belgian midfielder is already aware of the amount of competition in Jose Mourinho’s midfield options, and the fact that the Portuguese manager is set to add “a very good midfielder” makes the competition even tougher between Fellaini and his fellow red devils.

Leicester matched United for long spells and Shinji Okazaki hit the bar in the first half before late pressure failed to find a leveller. “With our team, something big is going on but we are at the beginning and we have started with a high”. He is always ready to give his best, whether he’s in the starting eleven or on the bench and the player thinks that he “can help the team, I can contribute, I can do well for this team”.
