Ibrahimovic: United Can Win The Title

The 34-year-old has impressed since joining United on a free transfer after his Paris Saint-Germain contract expired, netting the victor against Leicester City in the Community Shield before scoring on his Premier League debut against Bournemouth.

The French midfielder made his debut for the English Premier League giants in their 2-0 win over Southampton in an English Premier League match on Friday.

Last season, Rooney, United’s second top scorer of all time with 246, would have been first choice to take the shot but he was happy to allow the club’s new no.9 to assume the responsibility.

“The biggest compliment I can give him is that I was watching that game and watching Paul Pogba and I wasn’t thinking of £89m”, added United’s most decorated player and Louis van Gaal’s former assistant.

“The most satisfying thing for me is we’ve got a goalscorer in the team who is scoring goals, I look at Zlatan and I think he is a knock-in bet to finish with 20 goals and I’m talking league goals now”. He is not going to do that.

“He’s a talent. You see the size of him and the physicality of the Premier League won’t be a problem for him”.

Bloody hell, those home fans in Paris must have been really quiet. “If I can help then I will help, and I can help even more”.

One area where there is no room for improvement is Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Should Manchester United win the Premier League it would continue Ibrahimovic’s incredible record of title triumphs. The more mature you become, I have two kids now, you take on more responsibility.

AFC Bournemouth were only promoted to the Premier League a couple years ago, and Southampton are not at the same level that we’re accustomed to seeing with the Saints. If you want a striker to run in behind, chase every ball down, play with pace and power then Rashford is the name on your team sheet. He has at any other club he has been at, so who is to say he can not here under a manager he has a special relationship with?
