The Hollywood Reporter reports the classic show, Hollywood Squares, will be transformed to Hip Hop Squares, picking up at least 20 episodes.
Contestants on the show will answer a range of questions asked by hip-hop, comedy and entertainment personalities. The show continued with different hosts from 1966-2004. CBS Distribution is on board as well.
BET honoree Ice Cube and his wife Kimberly Woodruff pose on the red carpet during the BET Honors 2014 at Warner Theatre in Washington February 8, 2014. Most recently, he starred in and produced BARBERSHOP: THE NEXT CUT and produced the Oscar nominated STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON.
Meanwhile, VH1 President Chris McCarthy tells Billboard, “Ice Cube is one of the most prolific figures in hip-hop history and American culture at large”, VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy said.
